I last looked at this page on February 8. I chose this website because it lays out information clearly and plainly. As someone who has zero experience with coding, HTML, CSS, and building websites, this site really spoke in a way that I could possibly understand what is being discussed and talked about. There were many graphics to help explain the process and to follow along with what the author was saying.
I looked at this page on February 8. Something that drew me to the website specifically was the many resources that were provided on HTML 5. It also had a lot of different links that led to numerous tutorials on how to navigate HTML and how to build just single pages. There was a bit of content provided that talked about HTML 5, but most of the site were resources and tutorials that could help beginners like me.
I first clicked on this site simply because the title stated, “ultimate list of resources, tutorials, and tips.†As the way that this site is marketing itself just by its title, I immediately gravitated towards it, feeling like this site would give me everything that I need to know about CSS. This site provided an overwhelming number of resources, cheat sheets, videos, and tips on how to understand CSS. One thing I would have loved to see more was more images to better understand the process, as I am a visual and hands-on learner.
Honestly, this website source took me by surprise because of how the design and layout of this page were published. It was very organized, informative and had a lot of different articles linked to different aspects of what CSS entails. It was easy for me to navigate and go right to what I needed to get clarity on in terms of understanding CSS more.
This website really was attractive to me because of how it was designed and marketed. It looked like it was a site that was done by someone who is experienced and well versed in how to work with color and design within the HTML and CSS arena. I loved how there was a quick summary on this page of what this website would cover and the information that it would provide. Also, knowing that this resource is from a magazine (smashing magazine) gives them credibility that they know how to work with color and design.
This website attracted me because of how diverse the design is. There are pictures, but also diagrams, and content, along with links. There is a ton of content on this page that holds a lot of information, and it was at first overwhelming, however, after paying attention to the content and sifting through it, I found this website extremely helpful and informative.
I found this website to be so nice because it explored ways on how to grab photos from different sources legally and without any copyright issues. It even gives resources on finding photos through the library of Congress, which I find super beneficial.
This site is very interesting, not even for information, though the amount of information is great, but for me, the design is also very intriguing and appealing. Navigating the site was easy and engaging.
